Professor Dr. Farouk Hamada is a prominent figure in the academic Arab and Islamic world. Well known for his major writings in Islamic sciences, he is a reference in the field of the prophetic tradition where he published many seminal books characterized by rigor and methodological style.
He held university professorship positions for thirty three years where he took active responsibilities such as:
- Director of postgraduate studies and head of department of Islamic studies at the university Mohamed V, Rabat (since 1984),
- Director of Rabat think tank in Islamic research,
- Supervisor of more than 150 Masters and PhDs,
- Visiting professor and scientific referee of many universities and research centers and numerous specialized journals.
Dr. Hamada has published 35 books and an extended number of articles covering fields such as religion, civilization, education, literature and history. He has intervened as invited speaker in various international conferences.
Dr. Hamada holds a bachelor in Sharia, a bachelor in law and a master and a PhD in Islamic sciences. He is currently an advisor at the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Emirates.
